Yeah So… I’m Childish!

Yeah so… I’m childish! You wanna know why that’s okay? Well, because it means I’m on the right track to Heaven. Don’t believe me? Read Matthew 18:1-5 here…

“At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.”

We must be “childish”... wanna know how? Here ya go...

  • A child doesn’t question their parents. A child trusts and believes that their parent knows what’s best, even when the child doesn’t always like or agree with what a parent commands.

  • A child’s love for their parents is unconditional. A child loves and honors their parents through obedience, not just through sacrifice. A child is more obedient than sacrificial. (If you read my post, “Aww you going to Hell if you…”, you’ll get why what I just said is an eye-opening point.)

  • A child is quick to ask a parent for forgiveness and quick to forgive others.

  • A child is not only obedient, but receives correction. A parent can discipline a child and yet the child still returns and loves a parent the same.

  • A child isn’t lazy.

  • A child is eager to learn and grow in knowledge.

  • A child is humble.

  • A child is genuine.

  • A child is FULLY reliant on their parents.

  • A child has faith in their parents.

Try this… Go back and read all the bullet points that I have written above and place your name where it says “a (or) the child” and Jesus where it says “a (or) their parent(s)”. Then you’ll see I’m justified in saying, “Yeah so… I’m childish!
